Bastoni magici
This work was born in the context of a residency in which I participated, spending time in the rooms of the Cassero of the Poggio Imperiale Fortress, Poggibonsi, FI. Italy
"Three walking sticks, symbolising the Via Francigena, which passes through the Fortress of Poggibonsi, but also guardians of magic words to be deciphered: Abracadabra, Hocus-pocus and Simsalabim.
Those who possess knowledge and guard it, in many populations, act as mediators in social conflicts, thus guaranteeing the stability of the community, but also personify the bridge between the world of humans and that of spirits, that of magic or that of the gods."
