Gli Innocenti
This work was born in the context of a residency in which I participated, spending time in the rooms of the Cassero of the Poggio Imperiale Fortress, Poggibonsi, FI. Italy
"A work dedicated to the care of the community, and particularly with attention to the new generations. A large nest hangs in the centre of the room, guarding two goose eggs decorated with black outlines, a representation of the youngsters themselves all heading in the same direction to create an infinite circle. The nest is deep and made of copper wire, a metal with healing properties. All around, walls covered with black lightning bolts envelop it: a symbol of the fear and anxiety experienced by those who see themselves surrounded and hope in the defence of the walls of their fortress, the fear of the young people for their future and that of the Planet."
