This work recalls a ritual form that tells the cycle of existence. Our bodily fluids, like sweat, take form through plants and reveal the false state in which contemporary society holds them captive. Like ghosts, specters or fluids, their appearances are fortuitous, artificial or feared. Sweat performs three main functions within the body. It participates in its regulation, purification and protection. Sweating is also involved in activating metabolism, promoting ventilation, blood circulation and hormonal activity. This takes up about 50 percent of our daily lives and thus that of our clothes; amounts we try to forget instead of the times when they are clean and the times when they are worn. But our body odor, our scent, also plays an important role in romantic relationships, producing the spark that will attract a potential partner. So by transposing the natural tannins of plants and flowers onto the fabric itself, I wanted to create an aesthetic of our body's secretions. Armpits bloom on T-shirts and shirts to emphasize the power of pheromones, restoring their magic and poetry.
