Gold leaves, plastic, animal excrements - Acrylic on paper, 2017.
Invited at the park of Borgo San Giusto in Empoli (FI) I chose to concentrate on the living places of wild animals, the places where they stop, where they set up their houses and where they leave their droppings. For us humans animals have always inspired curiosity and mystery. In that case, I identified deers and rabbits excrement in several points in the park. Animals use it often as a mark or a signature destinated to other animals, I think it is important to highlighted their presence also to humans, so I mixed it with golden scales. My desire is to create an aesthetic of an aspects of the animal’s life, using two contrasting materials, shit and gold, both elements with strong symbolic and alchemical references.
