I was invited to take part in the final project of Luca Da Silva, artist and writer from Florence. A film that illustrated one of his stories, "L'uomo del pozzo". The protagonist undertakes a mystical course through seven colorful rooms of a private library. Seven female artists were invited by Luca to illustrate with a work the colors of each room, the colors of the rainbow but also of the chacra. it was assigned to me the indigo color. "Between light and shadow ... the dark shapes ... the passages from darkness to light ... colored flashes like fireworks", are fragments of sentences taken from the story that were for me the starting points for the creation of the work "Ajna".
The choice of the materials, their composition in space, their colors, their similarity and difference, their conjunction in the opposition, are structuring elements in the transfiguration of the story. The space that appeared between the materials on the ground represents the compartment that separates the two cerebral hemispheres. It is contemplated by the chakra of the third eye, the vital point which facing the inside of the skull, reveals consciousness, inner gaze and intuition. When activated, it offers the faculty to see beyond the form and appearance of reality, grasping its essence and unity.
